SafetyLine™ Chosen as
Work Alone Solution for 3M Canada’s Employees
Vancouver, BC, Nov 15, 2006—Tsunami Solutions
Ltd., of Vancouver, British Columbia is pleased to
announce that our SafetyLine™ Safety Monitoring System
has been chosen to protect the safety of 3M Canada
employees who work or travel alone across Canada. 3M
Canada becomes the latest organization to incorporate
SafetyLine™ in their safety plans.
“As our field sales staff work alone they require the
same level of protection as other lone workers” says 3M
Canada’s Corporate Health & Safety Specialist. “We chose
SafetyLine™ for its track record in protecting the
employees at many organizations across Canada”.
Regulations across Canada have been implemented to
ensure that Lone Workers receive the same level of
protection as those workers who work in offices or
plants. At 3M Canada employees are responsible for
managing a safe working environment by frequently
communicating and eliminating potentially dangerous
situations. SafetyLine™ has been chosen as it’s an
effective tool to automatically monitor their workers
and identify Emergency situations.
The SafetyLine™ automated employee monitoring service
uses telephony and internet technologies to provide the
most reliable and affordable solution for companies and
government organizations to meet both the regulatory and
moral obligations of protecting employees who work
alone. Employees are currently using a wide range of
devices including wired telephones, cellular phones,
satellite phones, one and two way pagers, wireless
Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), GPS devices,
wireless and wired laptop computers as well as standard
office computers. SafetyLine™ works with most
communication devices and networks, in short, SafetyLine™
works with existing communication devices.
Throughout the workday, employees report their location
and status to SafetyLine™ which automatically tracks the
employees. In the event that an employee fails to
check-in, SafetyLine™ automatically contacts persons who
can initiate an Emergency Search and Rescue procedure.
