Hydro
One Switches on SafetyLine
Vancouver, September 15th, 2003 –
Tsunami Solutions Ltd. is pleased to announce that Hydro
One, one of the ten largest electricity transmission and
distribution systems in North America with over 4,000
employees, has chosen SafetyLine to monitor their lone
workers. After a successful trial period of 1 year, Hydro
One has approved the SafetyLine system and is now
deploying SafetyLine in other groups within the company.
Tsunami is pleased to report that two additional groups
within Hydro One, The Meter Readers and the Area
Distribution Engineering Technicians, have joined the
initial group using SafetyLine.
The Tsunami SafetyLine “Automated Lone Worker Monitoring
Service” has proven itself to be the most effective
solution for helping companies across North America
protect their lone workers and comply with “Working Alone”
legislation.
The SafetyLine automated Lone Worker Monitoring service
uses telephony and internet technologies to provide the
most reliable and affordable solution for companies and
government organizations to meet both the regulatory and
moral obligations of protecting employees who work alone.
Throughout the workday, employees report their location
and status to SafetyLine. SafetyLine automatically tracks
the employees. In the event that an employee fails to
check-in, SafetyLine automatically contacts persons who
can initiate an Emergency Search and Rescue procedure.
SafetyLine is ideal for all sizes of organizations and can
provide local, national, and international coverage.
