SafetyLine™
Launches GPS Application on Telus Mike Phone
Vancouver, BC, Feb 26, 2007—SafetyLine™
in conjunction with
Integrated Tracking Solutions Inc.and
Big Sky Call Centre of Calgary are pleased to
announce the successful and cost effective
integration of enabling Telus MiKE wireless
handhelds to report device location coordinates to
SafetyLine™.
In the event
SafetyLine™
reports a worker that failed to check in for their
reporting period, administrators and system monitors
can locate the user by clicking the 'globe icon'
located on the
SafetyLine™
system which displays mapping and lat/long
coordinates. This feature is especially useful for
wide roaming users. Should an employee fail
to check in or sends a panic alarm the GPS
information can be accessed to facilitate a rescue
in a much faster time frame than previously
possible.
Regulations across Canada have
been implemented to ensure that Lone Workers receive
the same level of protection as those workers who
work in offices or work yards.
SafetyLine™
has been proven to be the most effective tool to
automatically monitor these workers and identify
Emergency situations.
The
SafetyLine™
automated employee monitoring service uses telephony
and internet technologies to provide the most
reliable and affordable solution for companies and
government organizations to meet both the regulatory
and moral obligations of protecting employees who
work alone. Employees are currently using a wide
range of devices including cellular phones (Telus,
Bell & Rogers ), wired telephones, satellite phones,
wireless Personal Digital Assistants (PDAs), GPS
devices, wireless and wired laptop computers as well
as standard office computers.
SafetyLine™
works with most communication devices and networks,
in short,
SafetyLine™
