Terasen Gas Upgrades to Full Service SafetyLine 3.0
Vancouver, BC, November 3, 2003—Tsunami Solutions
Ltd., of Vancouver, British Columbia, is pleased to
announce that Terasen Gas Inc. has upgraded to the most
recent release of SafetyLine, Lone Worker Monitoring
Service and committed to using the SafetyLine Service
for an additional two years.
Terasen Gas has been using SafetyLine on a daily basis
for over four years.
Terasen Gas had originally used SafetyLine to monitor
their 55 Meter readers based out of their Kelowna
office. Since then, SafetyLine has been adopted by
virtually every other department within Terasen Gas to
protect those employees who worked alone. Today
SafetyLine protects hundreds of Terasen Gas employees
working in all geographic areas of the province.
The upgrade provides better management tools and a
simpler User Interface than the earlier versions.
Based upon input from our valued Customers, we have
continually evolved SafetyLine to ensure that the
product meets their demands. Our Customers tell us that
they want an effective, affordable, and simple to use
service and we have provided that.
The SafetyLine automated Lone Worker Monitoring service
uses telephony and internet technologies to provide the
most reliable and affordable solution for companies and
government organizations to meet both the regulatory and
moral obligations of protecting employees who work
alone.
Employees are currently using a wide range of devices
including wired telephones, cellular phones, satellite
phones, one and two way pagers, wireless Personal
Digital Assistants (PDAs), GPS devices, wireless and
wired laptop computers as well as standard office
computers. SafetyLine works with most devices and
communication networks, in short, SafetyLine works with
your existing communication system.
Throughout the workday, employees report their location
and status to SafetyLine. SafetyLine automatically
tracks the employees. In the event that an employee
fails to check-in, SafetyLine automatically contacts
persons who can initiate an Emergency Search and Rescue
procedure.
